Lingo for parents

Hey there parents! My name is Bea and I'm here to teach you the swag terms of the modern day language. There several modern words that will be strange and confusing. Most of you grew up in the 80's and 90's so you are unfamiliar with words such as "Lit" and "MLG". Never fear Bea is here to guide you through the words of the future.

  • Swag: Another way to say cool
  • Lit: Cool. Ya, it just means cool
  • MLG: Major League Gaming
  • Subs: Subscribers and/or a better way of saying followers
  • Collab: A better and shorter way of saying collaborate
  • Yeet: A great way to express excitement

When talking to the younger population, you should know not seek praise for your new found knowledge in "young people speak". When you try and use these new words in front of your kids, they will most likely look at you funny and tell you never say that again and then turn around (mom). When you want to say these words, the best choice is to ask your children "When should I use this word and how do I use it in a sentence?"

MY mother has learned this lesson many times and is still in training on what to say and how to say it. If any kids are reading; please help your parents learn modern tongue.  Most importantly be patient and supportive.
